And the Iron Age of Creative Independence

To say that the Rippaverse’s initial entry into the comic space has been both highly-anticipated and fraught with fake controversy would be an understatement. When we consider the potential of the Iron Age as a new creative movement, it’s difficult to think of a more cogent example of independent trailblazing than Eric July and his team over at Rippaverse. Though it took wading through the fetid swamps of a social media harassment campaign orchestrated in large part by the same comic book industry that the Rippaverse offers an alternative to, the final product has been funded, produced, and delivered. Now, the real question to be answered is, “Does it live up to the hype?”
