South Jersey author and comedy writer, Tony DiGerolamo, announces the latest book in his novella series, The Pineys: Book 11: The Piney That Killed Thomas Edison.
"In the early 1900's, Edison's Compound suffered from a terrible fire," explains DiGerolamo. "In this story, we catch a glimpse of the Pineys' ancestors doing what they do best: hunting the kin of the Jersey Devil. But when one of history's greatest inventors is replaced by a shapeshifting hellspawn, the story twists and turns into a South Jersey DaVinci Code-type mystery."
The Pineys is a pure South Jersey story centering around the Galloway family and their fight against not just one Jersey Devil, but multiple denizens of Hell unleashed into the Pine Barrens by Mother Leeds in the 1700's. It's a comedy/horror series full of South Jersey flavor, folklore and history.
"And more adventures to come," promises the author. "I've barely scratched the surface of the amount of history, folktales, urban legends and ghost stories in the region. This book reveals the final fate of the Jersesy Devil's mother, Mother Leeds. But watch out, South Jersey, because Thomas Edison is coming to kill everybody."
DiGerolamo, a life-long South Jersey resident, has been writing about the Jersey Devil and South Jersey for over 20 years. He also does the Piney Podcast, a YouTube show devoted to all things Piney.
The Pineys: Books 1 thru 11 are available now on Amazon as ebooks for $2.99 each, tradepaperbacks for $7.99 or free to Kindle Unlimited Users.
