Laurel Springs, NJ:
South Jersey author and comedy writer, Tony DiGerolamo, announces the latest book in his novella series, The Pineys: Book 13: Agent Piney and the Jersey Devil.
"This story is based on the legend of the Holy, Holy, Holy altar and the Witches Well, which are located on the top of the mount in Mt. Holly," says author, Tony DiGerolamo. "And since it's the 13th book, the Jersey Devil had to make an appearance."
The Pineys is a pure South Jersey story centering around the Galloway family and their fight against not just one Jersey Devil, but multiple denizens of Hell unleashed into the Pine Barrens by Mother Leeds in the 1700's. It's a comedy/horror series full of South Jersey flavor, folklore and history.
"Whether you're a local in the know or read about it in Weird NJ, there's endless possibilities with the legends in South Jersey," explains DiGerolamo. "I'll be giving my talk on the Jersey Devil, Saturday, November 25th at Chimney Rustic Ales in Hammonton, NJ at 2pm. I'll be signing books and talking about all the Jersey Devil legends."
DiGerolamo, a life-long South Jersey resident, has been writing about the Jersey Devil and South Jersey for over 20 years. He also does the Piney Podcast, a YouTube show devoted to all things Piney. Previously, he wrote for The Simpsons comic books and jokes for Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher.
