Violet Dawn: Exile

It`s Always Darkest Before the Dawn

Violet Dawn: Exile is a sword-and-sorcery adventure tale inspired by the likes of Robert E. Howard's Conan stories, Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal, and the comic books of Moebius and P. Craig Russell. Written by New York Times bestselling author Alexander Freed (Star Wars: Alphabet Squadron), with phantasmagorical illustrations by Louis Sollune (The Silver Cord), Violet Dawn aims to blend the visceral excitement of classic fantasy pulps with character-driven storytelling and wildly imaginative visuals.

Violet Dawn: Exile is the story of Kaszek, a boy transformed into the guardian of a strange city. Tasked with all things taboo and unclean, he must journey through a weird and fantastic land to purge his home of an alien magic. As he battles bizarre monsters and faces soul-eating sorcery, his kind nature and his warrior's instincts will be put to the test. Can he fulfill his duties and remain true to his training? And will he ever be able to return home? The first chapter in the 7-part story is available to read at violetdawn.com.

We're relying on crowdfunding to bring the graphic novel to life. Our Kickstarter is currently live now. We're offering both digital and hardcover editions of the book through Kickstarter, but only if we can reach our funding goal by Friday, November 25. Along with the book itself, other pledge rewards include signed and limited editions, sketches, original pages from the comic, Violet Dawn role-playing game books, and more.
